About the film:
We spend around a third of our lives asleep. But more and more people suffer from exhaustion, insomnia, sleep apnoea or even narcolepsy. The result is millions of sick days and economic losses in the billions. In extreme cases, sleep problems can affect the metabolism, which can lead to obesity, diabetes or Alzheimer's disease.
Sleep is absolutely vital - and yet the average amount of sleep per night is barely seven hours. This value is lower than ever before.
Sleeping pills often lead to severe side effects. Alternative methods are gaining increasing attention. Among other things, the sleep documentary sheds light on new therapeutic approaches such as sophrology and light therapy.
The event takes place via Zoom.
Please wach the documentary before the event. W will only debate the topics of the documentary.
